JJC ACA-02 consists of 1 Autofocus Calibration Aid and 1 Color Balance Card. The Autofocus Calibration Aid fits the camera with "AF Fine Tune" or "AF Micro Adjustment" function. It allows you to test the autofocus performance of your camera and helps you fine-tune the autofocus function of your camera and lens. The Autofocus Calibration Aid comes with a built-in bubble level for keeping itself on the level. It also features a 1/4"-20 tripod socket for mounting it on a tripod. The Color Balance Card is a useful tool for achieving perfect color balance in your photos. The product features a neutral gray card on one side, and a black card on the other side. The gray side can be used to take exposure control and help set the white balance. If you take photos in the twilight, the black side can help you achieve an normal exposure. Moreover, the color balance card is made of water resistant material, that means you can use it in moisture circumstances for your free shooting.
Compatibility:
In order to make full use of the calibration tool, a camera must have the function of autofocus adjustment, please check your camera's instructions manual to see if this feature is available in your setup menu.

Steps of use:
1.
Open JJC ACA-02 Autofocus Calibration Aid and lock it in the upright position, place on a flat surface or a tripod(not included).
2.
Aim at the center of the circle. (For long zoom lens, aim at the big circle; for short zoom lens, aim at the small circle)
3.
Make sure the camera’s CCD sensor is parallel to the center of the circle.
4.
Focus on the center of the circle and take a picture (Advise using the maximum aperture as this brings a small depth of field so that you can examine the focus accuracy more easily. )
5.
If the “0” on the scale is clear, it means the focus is accurate as this means the “0” and the center of the circle are in the same focal plane.
6.
If the “0” on the scale is not clear while it is clear on the “1” below or above the “0”, it means it is 1cm front focusing or 1cm back focusing, in this case, you need to fine tune the focus accordingly via your camera.
